Together with PIDAS AG, WONDROUS realizes quite complex projects to improve customer service experience. One of these projects is LENA, a highly customizable Chatbot for direct interactions on client websites. This bot can guide you via predefined stories, evaluate your inputs based on contexts, and optionally, guide you to a live agent.

This case studie has it all:

  • a client side app powered by nuxtjs
  • a custom built VueJs module to be deployed on virtually any page
  • a server setup to crack your DevOps
  • and includes machine learning (aka AI)

The LENA-frontend (a client side app) is the dashboard for authoring the stories and train the AI. When/As soon as the LENA-backend is trained and set up, the LENA-chatbot (a VueJs Module) can be injected into the clients website. If a live chat is setup and agents are live, the fully automated stories of the bot can progressively enhance to actual human interaction.

In this talk, we will go through the key concepts of this distributed project. Summing up, I will discuss common pit falls and share our lessons learned.

I am a full stack developer - worked with drupal 8 since four years. Now we are trying to combine Drupal with new frontend technologies. You will need a foundation knowledge about VueJs.

The talk was held at a VueJs Meetup in Basel:
